| | Weaver Rifle ScopesHistory of Weaver For over 75 years, Weaver has been one of America’s most prominent names in telescopic sights. Established in 1930 by William Ralph Weaver in a small shop in Newport, Kentucky, the Weaver brand offered small, light and affordable rifle scopes and sights. Weaver quickly expanded and moved to new premises in El’Paso, Texas. In the following years Weaver scopes evolved and had progressed to a standard that would meet the needs of hunters, competition shooters and even the US Military. During WWII there were over 36,000 scopes and sights produced by Weaver for the M73B1s (the military designation for the 330C). This would lead to the creation of the Weaver K Series for Hunters and shooters and the Weaver V Series variable power rifle scopes. During the 1960’s the company ran into tough times that forced Bill Weaver to sell up and move on. The company changed hands many times until it was finally taken over by Meade along with Simmons and Redfield. The Weaver Rifle Scopes Range The current Weaver line up offers and extensive range of rifle scopes for both the Hunter and the Sports Shooter. These include the fixed-power K-Series, variable-power V-Series, and top-of-the-line Grand Slam series. For serious competition shooters there's the famous Weaver T-Series with its patented Micro-Trac 4 point adjustment system. Plus, there are separate lines of handgun, shotgun, and rimfire scopes. Weaver also offers binoculars, spotting scopes, and a Digital Nightview Monocular. Click here to view the Weaver Rifle Scopes Range |
